About

Raushan Kumar, BPT student and creator of MedLyre

Hi, I'm Raushan Kumar. I'm a BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) student, and MedLyre is my blog where I explain what I learn in plain, simple English.

Please note!
I'm a student. I'm not a doctor and not a licensed physiotherapist. Nothing on this blog is medical advice.

A little about me

I'm studying BPT at Bihar University of Health Sciences, Patna, Bihar, India. I want to say clearly, right at the start, that I'm still learning.

Outside of studies, I'm a quiet person. I don't have any special habits. I like silence, and I enjoy spending time in nature. I listen to calm, slow music, and if I'm being honest, mostly sad songs. But the thing I love most is writing. That's the real reason this blog exists.

Why I started MedLyre

While studying, I often got stuck on a topic. I would read the same page again and again and still not understand it. I do have teachers who help me, but they can't always be around at the moment a doubt comes up.

So I turned to the internet. I used YouTube, Google, AI tools and online articles. They helped, but there was one big problem: it took a lot of time. A student doesn't have hours to spend on a single point. Sometimes one small concept ate up my whole evening.

That's when I decided to build a place where topics and points are explained simply and quickly. A place where my juniors, and anyone else with the same doubt, can get unstuck without wasting hours.

What you'll find here

MedLyre is a study blog. I write overviews that start with the confusing part of a topic and explain it step by step. My main subjects are:

The blog is new, so I add topics gradually. As I learn more in my course, MedLyre grows with me.

How I write

I try to write the way I would explain something to a junior sitting next to me. I use simple words, I explain technical terms when they first appear, and I give the reason behind a fact, not just the fact. I also say openly when different books or universities teach something differently.

How I check my facts

I don't want to give you wrong information, so I verify what I write. Before a post goes live, I check it in these steps:

  1. I learn the topic from my textbooks and class notes.
  2. I compare it with trusted online sources.
  3. I ask my teachers when something is unclear.
  4. I list my sources at the end of the post, so you can see where the information comes from.

I'm still a student, so I can make mistakes. If you find one, please tell me. I'll look into it and correct it.

What MedLyre is not

Important!
MedLyre is for learning only. Nothing here is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan. It does not replace your teachers, your textbooks or your university syllabus. If you are a patient, please see a qualified doctor or physiotherapist.
